In order to extend its service life, it is recommended not to use an outer cover as far as possible. Most of the elastic couplings are made of aluminum alloy, and some manufacturers also provide elastic couplings made of stainless steel. In addition to corrosion resistance, stainless steel elastic coupling also increases the torque bearing capacity and rigidity, and can even reach twice that of similar products made of aluminum alloy. However, this increase in torque and rigidity is offset to some extent by the increase in mass and inertia. Sometimes the negative effects outweigh the advantages, forcing the user to look for other forms of coupling.
